Possible Options

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query at HealthcareMagic.

Do you mean to say when having a bowel movement? This can be normal, as increased straining can occasionally put pressure on the bladder. Are there any other symptoms you are feeling? Is this an isolated occurrence. I would monitor this; and see if any further symptoms arise or if this keeps occurring. If so and you are concerned I would recommend a visit with a Primary Care Physician or a urologist as to better ascertain what is causing your urinary incontinence and how to proceed. Otherwise, for an 88 year old male, passing Urine during a bowel movement during one single episode, I would not be overly concerned.

I hope this advise has helped.
