Is Western Blot Test For HIV Antibodies After 3 Months Of Exposure Conclusive?

As per reports, it is sensitivity is 98% and I am getting frequent ulcers in my months for the past 5 months. My lymph node is also swollen a bit behind my ear for the past 3 months . Is there a possibility of other STD's like Herpes,Hepatitis like B/C or etc?
HIV unlikely to be the cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM
I understand your concern and situation
There is least possibility of any HIV infection as Western blotting is quite sensitive test. But as per international norms I would suggest you to take one more test at 6 months post exposure. Get a 4 th generation ELISA test done. As far as your problems are concerned. Do you have recurrent respiratory tract infections? I would suggest you to get complete haemogram and ESR done. Take multivitamins and calcium supplement regularly as it could be apthous ulcer. You can get tested for HSV 1 by molecular tests. Maintain oral hygiene by proper bushing twice daily and using chlorhexidine gargle 4-6 times per day. Get a proper evaluation done by physician for examination of lesion.

Apthous ulcer more likely than HSV.
Detailed Answer:
Did you had any fever in recent past? I would suggest to get the platelet count repeated. Check your eosinophil counts it cannot be 75%. The rest of the investigation are normal. In your case it appears like recurrent aphthous ulceration which can occur several times per year in an otherwise healthy individual. Usually no treatment is required except multivitamins but if painful lidocaine containing topical agents are useful. HSV must be ruled out .The HSV 1 can cause oral ulcers, sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes and pinful swallowing. Lymph nodes infection can be due to the HSV infection. Diagnosis can be made by Viral culture, viral DNA test or Tzanck test to check for HSV.

Eosinophils :07%.
I dint had any fevers for the last 2 years.Do condom use don't protect HSV or other STD's? Ans how safe is lips kissing with strangers and breast sucking of any STD infected woman?
And if condoms dont break during intercouse only act,how safe it can be considered?
Viral infection likely in your case.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
If you have got your test repeated then I think definitely there is some viral infection in your case.
HSV 1 or VZV infection can be acquired even without intercourse. You need to visit a physician to rule out these two possibility in your case by tests.
Yes condom protects from STD genital infection but not oral infection caused by kissing or sucking. Oral infection like HSV, VZV, gonorrhea, etc. can occur.
If condom breaks then there is chance of STD infection depending upon duration of contact post breakage.
