Hello,
Firstly, multiple sclerosis is a disease where the fatty myeline sheath around the nerve bundles get damaged leading to scar formation due to. This causes defect in nerve conduction.
In this disease any neurological symptom can be present. Sometimes a new symptom can appear which was not present previously. Mainly, cognitive and physical abnormalities are seen. In your case, increased temperature is due to resetting the base level body temperature higher than normal.
Presentation with this new symptoms indicates a symptomatic attack of multiple sclerosis. It should be treated meticulously using steroid and other supportive drugs. So, consult with your treating neurologist immediately for further management.

Regarding medication, some new drugs are available.
1. Interferon beta 1a and 1b.
2. Glatiramer
3. Mitoxantrone
4. Natalizumab.
5. Fingolimod
6. Teriflunomide.
These are disease-modifying agents which are necessary to stop the disease progression. Second part of therapy is physical and cognitive rehabilitation. For this purpose, you have to go to any multidisciplinary tertiary care hospital.

Summary: for present situation, consult with your neurologist for meticulous treatment. For total rehabilitation, you have to go to a multidisciplinary tertiary care hospital.

Hope this information suffices. Let me know if you have any more question.

Hello.
Multiple sclerosis occurs due to following -
1. Genetic abnormality associated with MHC Gene complex.
2. Environmental factors like vitamin D deficiency.
3. Infection with viruses like herpes, MS.
In MS as I previously told that any neurological manifestation may occur. Emotional symptoms you described above also due to this MS. Now, it has been increased in severity may be due to the recurrence of the MS.

Basically, the treatment is as I previously mentioned. Klonopin is used just for your anxiety and stiffness of muscle. It is not a drug that is used in multiple sclerosis. In place of klonopin, you can use other benzodiazepine group of drugs.

In my opinion, keep following up with the neurologist you mentioned and consult with him for taking the drug which I previously mentioned.

Hope you have answers. If have no more question, then close this discussion.

Regards.

Hello,
I have previously mentioned the causes of MS. Celiac disease , may be a part of the genetic abnormality you have. But celiac disease is not directly related to formation of progressive MS.
Bacterial pneumonia also does not have any relationship with progressive MS.

During pregnancy, corticosteroids can be used with precautions. But you are not allowed to take any drug without confirmed diagnosis, specially, in pregnancy.

So, do not take any drug without consulting your neurologist.

Take care.
