Tingling and sharp pains in the arm is usually due to nerve compression. Sometimes this causes palmar erythema too. These symptoms are suggestive of a nerve root compression at the cervical vertebral level due to degenerative disc changes or cervical spondylosis. It happens primarily due to degenerative changes secondary to age in the cervical spine.
X-ray of neck in lateral view or MRI will help in the diagnosis.
Initial Treatment options include Pain Killers and Physiotherapy. If this is not successful, then, surgical decompression of the disc will be required.
You must consult your Physician/Neurosurgeon and get yourself evaluated.
Follow these lifestyle modifications,
1.) Apply heat or cold packs regularly.
2.) Take a hot shower everyday.
3.) Do regular physical therapy.
4.) Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
