You need to take help of a physio who can help with TENS machine which will help reduce the abnormal sensations in the upper limbs. Also, neck strengthening is of much importance now as due to the pathology of the vertebrae and disc degeneration there is a big amount of weakness in that area. Hence, neck strengthening exercises is a must. Also, use a soft cervical collar to stabilize the spine. Use hot water fermentation is there is spasm. if you are not diabetic than use ice packs to reduce the pain. It might take another 3-4 weeks of time for the recovery in symptoms to start.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
