Question : Dear Doctor,

Planning for baby for last 6 months. Semen analysis Test done. Following are the results:
Abstinence:3 days
Volume: 2 mL
Liquification 30 min
pH:7.8
Viscosity : Normal
Sperm Concentration: 70 million/ml
Total Sperm Conc.:140 million
Mortality:
a) Progressive actively motile:25%
b) Progressive sluggish motile:35%
c) Non Progressive motile: 10%
d) Non Motile:30%

Morphology
Head Abnormality: 68%
Midpiece Abnormality: 32%
Tail Abnormality:24%

Normal Morphology:16%
Vitality : 70% live
Round Cells: 6-8/HPF
Agglutination: Nil
Total Motile Sperm Count(TMSC): 104 million

Thanks for your query.

I have read your semen analysis report, it has got quite a good number of motile sperms, although the number of defective sperm is moderately high but they do not play a role in fertilization.

With this much normal number of sperms , fertilization is possible without any problem.
