Question : My daughter has been diagnosed low grade pneumonia. She has a seven month old baby who is getting breast fed. Should she stop it? Any other precaution to be taken by her. please advise.

Breast feeding should be continued.

Her pneumonia is not an indication to stop breast feeding. She should continue breast feeding even at this stage. If you could specify the antibiotic she is being given I could comment on its safety profile. Alternatively you should mention to her treating doctor that she is lactating and the doctor could make his choice accordingly.
