                                    Hello
Thanks for your query. Entamoeba is a common type of parasite that can cause dysentery in humans. The most common species of Entamoeba causing dysentery is Entamoeba histolytica. The presence of pus cells and red blood cells in stools also point to an infective process. I would suggest you XXXXXXX your physician with the report so that an appropriate antiparasitic drug like ornidazole can be started. The infection is usually through contaminated food items. Do clarify further if required. Wish you good health.
