I am medical doctor, an associate in Department of Dermatology, working with an experienced Dermatologist. I answer on his behalf.

If you have dandruff associated with scalp itching then the cause for the same could be a fungal infection which is a common condition.
I suggest you to apply Ketoconazole (Keto) shampoo twice weekly. This would surely put an end to the dandruff. Stop the medication two weeks after the dandruff is gone.
