Question : Hello doctor,
What is substitute medicine of below as i m not able to find in local medical store.
Medicine name are Calcikem and Eocef-o.

There might be spelling mistakes in the names of medication provided by you.

1. CALCIKEM is not there in drug reference handbook but CALCIEM is available and is calcium 250 mg, vitamin D3 100 IU.

2. EOCEF-O is not there in drug reference handbook but ECOCEF is available and is cefixime trihydrate. It is sold in three forms, ECOCEF dispersitab, ECOCEF film-coated tab and ECOCEF oral susp.

Please return to your pharmacy and check out if the prescribed medications have a spelling different from what is in your query.

I have reviewed the medicine names mentioned by you.

1. MUMFER XT is Elemental iron 100 mg, folic acid 1.5 mg, Elemental zinc 22.5 mg. (for increasing iron in blood)
2. CALCIEM is calcium 250 mg, vitamin D3 100 IU. (for making strong bones)
3. ECOCEF(Cefixime) or ECOCEF O (Cefixime,Ofloxacin) is antibiotic to prevent infection.
4. NOBEL SPAS tab is nimesulide 100 mg, drotaverine 40 mg (for pain relief)
5. THROMBOPHOB is heparin cream to prevent blood clot below skin.

Please correct the spelling mistake and inquire the above medications at your medical shop to give any generic medicine of reputed company if above mentioned is not there.

If ECOCEF O (cefixime 200 mg and ofloxacin 200 mg) is not available you can take cefixime 200 mg (CEFINAR 200MG TAB or ASERT 200MG TAB) and ofloxacin 200 mg (ALPROXEN 200MG TAB or OFLIN 200MG TAB)
