Irregular Period, Dizzy, Vomiting. What Should I Do? How Can I Stop The Cramps?
Hi, I m a 18 year-old girl, I m healthy, however my period is irregular. I have period this week, and today after going up stairs, I sudden felt dizzy, nearly fainted, hard to breathe and I vomitted. I know girls experience period cramps when menstrual cycle comes, then how can I stop the cramps? It really hurted the same time I had those symptoms above.
There are several reasons of irregular period like hormonal imbalance, stress/anxiety, ovarian cyst, thyroid problem, wt gain/ extreme loss, irregular eating habits etc.
Need to investigate properly to rule out underlying pathology by USG lower abdomen & complete hormone assay etc.So consult with your doctor and take suggestive measures.
Abdominal cramp during period (dysmenorrhoea) is quite common in young age group. Do the following things:
Avoid salty food/ coffee in 2nd half of period, Avoid stress by yoga/deep breathing, Control body wt, Take healthy diet, drink more water/ juice with fresh fruits & vegetables, keep bowel habit regular, maintain personal hygiene and need proper sleep. Medication like mefenamic acid or drotaverine is quite helpful to reduce cramp.
Be well & take care.
