Question : Have been advised half refill tab in any liquid instead of feronia xt due to constipation issues. However we find it very difficult to give in place of drops. Can you suggest a good alternative in drop form

                                    Brief Answer:
Try tonoferon
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
It is common for iron supplements to cause constipation.
I can recommend two things
1. Try changing to less constipating iron formulation like tonoferon drops . I usually recommend 10 drops. twice daily for such kids in my clinic.
2. Try giving iron drops in empty stomach along with lemon or orange juice. Avoid giving it with milk.
This will ensure the iron is absorbed into the blood and doesn't stay in the intestines to cause constipation.
Let me know if you have more concerns
Wishing your daughter good health.
