Suggest Antidepressants Without Any Side Effects
Question: Hi I need help on the medication I am taking , I don't think is the right one, I have been taking Paxil 20mg for 8 years I lower it to 12.5 mg after a while of feeling better 2 months I start to feel depressed I went to a doctor to get a another medicine like paxil withouth the side effects , lower energy , lower libido and weight gain.
My Dr prescribe Viibryd 20mg plus Librium 20mg in the morning and 20mg at night but I feel over medicated I am sleeping 5 hours after taking the Librium in the morning , which is exactly the opposite of what I want , I know there are other options in the market with less side effects that could replace the paxil but it seems I am taking too many medicines right now

Since i a, taking viibryd for depression but my main problem is anxiety does buprobion works mainly for anxiety? Also i am taking librium 20mg twice a day that is the medicine that actually puts me too sleep, do you know options and anxiety and depresion medicine that can help both ways instead of librium and viibryd?

Bupropion is a good antidepressant and effective in controlling anxiety as well as depression. The effective antidepressants for both depression and anxiety are venlafaxine and paroxetine. You had tried paxil and got good response. If you want, you can either start with venlafaxine or paroxetine. There are few side effects with these antidepressant like hypertension with venlafaxine and sexual side effects with paroxetine. In benzodiazepine, you can try xanax or klonopin in low dose and that would too help to control anxiety. Beside drugs, you can also try some relaxation exercise like JPMR or deep breathing exercise. That would help you stay calm and relax.
