Question: I am 40 yrs old and need to know the iron & calcium tonic without any side effects which is compulsory after 40 years of age and improve weight gain slightly as i am 45kgs.

Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and after reviewing your query following is/are necessary recommended guidelines:

1. For Iron: take Manoll syrup [CHARAK PHARMA]: 2 Table spoon thrice daily
2. For Calcium: Calci-7 tablet [UAP PHARMA]: 1 tablet twice daily
3. To Improve weight gain at this age one must take an Immunomodulator [like chaywanprash,Ashwagandha] which increases immunity and provided energy to the body.

PS.
A. with Iron one must keep in mind that
. stool will be black
. should be taken empty stomach [for better absorption] but in some people taking it empty stomach result either in constipation or diarrhea,in that case take between or after meals
. do not take milk or milk products half hour before and after taking it

B. with Calcium: as calcium causes constipation [inherited property] thus take a mild laxative like trifla or panchskar churan [5 gm at night] regularly.
