Suggest Diet To Be Taken During Typhoid Fever

Question: Hi doctor, My son is diagnosed with typhoid n urine infection.....n his doctor told us to give him melted ice cream n plain salted chips....he is 5yrs n 3 months in age....he is very much choosy at food....pls tell what should I give him to eat n what care should be taken of him....doctor has given him taxim forte

It's better to avoid spicy and fatty items from his food. Stick to bland diets like rice dhal, bread, curd, chapathi , biscuits, etc. Ensure you give him plenty of liquids to drink too. Actually he is very much choosy at food.....he does not eat many many of healthy food....he was vomiting his medicines then doctor also told us to admit him....but now after 5 days of fever now he is fyn....how much tym I have to give him antibiotics....can I give him chocolate biscuits.... n when he is able to go to school....
