Question : goodafternoon dr.i have done unprotected sex with my wife at 2.30pm today.her last period date was 08.10.2014.she wants to avoid pregency.can she take i pill or unwanted 72
Brief Answer:
Both are essentially the same
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Both Unwanted 72 and I pill essentially contains the same drug - levonorgestrel 1.5mg. In the sense, the effects of the drug will be same and there is no real difference between these two brands. If she has used any of these in the past, I will suggest that she takes the same. If it is the first time, then honestly it doesn't matter if she takes i pill or unwanted 72. Make sure you make the choice within the next 3 days.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Go ahead...
Detailed Answer:
Go ahead with the medicine this evening.
The drug is reported to cause menstrual irregular - delayed period, intermenstrual bleeding, heavy periods are the commonest. Besides these, nausea, abdominal fullness are other side effects. But do not worry, there are no other serious long term side effects.
