What does Gastric fluid pH level = 0 indicate? Highly acidic?

NOrmal range is 1.5 to 3. Is 0 outside the normal range? this was on a completely cleansed stomach.

What is the most natural way to increase this level

Brief Answer:
Endoscopy reports are needed;PPIs,antacids, diet changes advised

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thank you for providing your endoscopy details. As you are partially referring the reports, if I was your caring doctor would ask to have your full report. Apart stomach pH, I need to evaluate other parameters before running into final conclusions. Therefore I request you to upload the scanned report on this page using the site's uploader.

A normal stomach pH level varies from 1.5 to up to 3. In your case it is is 0 and indeed, it is very acidic.

I need to know if endoscopy reported gastritis or ulcer as treatment is based on the findings.

Anyway, based on what you are reporting, I'd advise to :
- start therapy with PPIs that will help your stomach produce a liquid less acidic (e.g. omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.)
- take antacids each time you have your meals
- be careful with foods you eat: avoid foods/drinks that would reduce stomach pH and aggravate your situation.

Looking forward to have your endoscopy reports for a more specific opinion.
Thank you!
Dr.Klerida
