Brief Answer:
There is no serious concern but please avoid taking repeat doses.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The maximum dose prescribed for human adults is 200 mg atenolol in a day. If you have taken an extra dose of 25 mg then it is not a serious concern.

The half life of atenolol is 6 to 7 hours and therefore you can take your next scheduled dose tomorrow as usual.

Please do not panic and be avoid taking repeat doses of any medicine.

Regards,
