Question : Hi, I have cold from a week. I have tried taking paracetamol but it did not work. After some home remedies, cold is now ok as in I still have stuffy nose but the more concerning part is I have caugh now. I am using over the counter robitussin but no effect till now.

Dear Patient,

with the described time range of a week so far the infection and cough will most likely still cure itself without antibiotics. It is advisbale though to have your local gp listen to your lung with the stetoscope to rule out bronchitis or pneumonia.
