Question : Hi, I am 38 years old and delivered a baby a year back vaginally. I started with abnormally heavy periods within 6 months of delivery despite breastfeeding. In the last 6 cycles that I have had I have been given Pause mf, Primolut N, Femovan ocp and last that i took was deviry 10mg twice a day for 25 days. My last cycle was manageable probably because of deviry and I was suggested no medication. But this cycle I am again bleeding very heavy. Suggestions please.

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
What is your age ?
Was the vaginal birth uneventful, or did you have any sort of complication ?
I would make the following suggestions -
1. Please consult a gynecologist at the earliest.
2. Go for an internal gynec exam, Pap smear and a pelvic ultrasound scan. If the lining of the uterus is thickened, you may need a D and C ( biopsy of the lining of the uterus ).
3. Right now you can take Pause MF thrice a day to control the bleeding until you get an appointment with your doctor.
4. Mild hormonal imbalance ( DUB ) is common after childbirth, and if it is not manageable with OCP / Primolut N, then D and C maybe the only solution.

I am 38 years old and had a normal vaginal delivery without any complications at all. it's a full term healthy pregnancy with healthy baby. my doctor is not available until Sunday for physical consultation however had an sms discussion with her where she suggested deviry 10mg twice a day for 25 days. should I take deviry and will it help control and stop bleeding? or should I also take pause mf along with deviry?

And also Pause MF for the first 3 days along with Deviry.
