Question : Hi i had a knee arthroscopy done 5 days back, and during which i did an epidural anesthesia and was given serum and pethidine for 2 days and further which i was on olfen 100 for 3 days. On the day After the arthroscopy i peed a lot and it was dark yellow. Further to that day and for the past 4 days my pee has always been clear (it never used to be like that before). I have also loss appetite. And feel a bit of pain in my back and little discomfort in my belly. I also have been a little constipated since the intervention. Can you please help me out?

Surgery was done for a meniscal repair.medication given after surgery was pethidine and olfen 100 for 4 days. You will find attached a list of medication given to me during my intervention. After surgery, i slowly loss my apetite so wasnt eating properly. I had headache but not fever. Was also feeling tired.

Hello,
I have studied your case. Olfen can cause gastritis leading to loss of appetite. Also pethidine can cause constipation. Now I have following suggestions for you.
1.Do not take any pain killer like Olfen now.
2.Eat what ever you like. If you will not eat properly then you will continue to have weakness and constipation.
3.eat green salad, fibres and fruits like Papaya. It will take care of weakness and constipation both. Drink plenty of fluids and juices.
4.if even then constipation is there then syrup cremaffin 2 TSF at night time can be taken.
