Question : Hello Doctor
I am having fever and stomach cramps.
this started from yesterday
Initially with fever of 100 F. Then I had paracetamol. The fever eventually was gone. In the night, gas started forming and stomach cramps started. Then loose motions started. Had paracetamol again as i started shivering. Shivering continued with high fever till early morning. Now the fever has gone. For loose motions had Norflox T Z in the morning. After having the medicine, Loose motions have stopped but stomach crapms continues.
Please advice

Hi
As per your description, you had infection of the gut.

I prescribe to my patients:
Tablet Levofloxacin 250mg twice daily for loose stools,
Tablet paracetamol 650mg thrice daily for fever,
Tablet Rabeprazole 20mg twice daily for stomach pain. I prescribe this for 1 week.

Once the infection is controlled, stomach cramps will come down.
