Question: upper right side pain below ribs for about a month. No fevers or chills. just irritating mild pain. Have taken Tylenol or excedrin for it. Occasional diarrhea but that's mostly if I eat any greasy foods.

Brief Answer:
You should get an Ultrasound abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Liver and Gallbladder are the important organs present in the right upper part of the abdomen .
Pain in that area can be due to Gallstones. They are more common in females.
You should consult your doctor, get examined clinically and get an Ultrasound abdomen.
If Gallstones are excluded, inflammation of the Colon has to excluded as you are having diarrhoea by Colonoscopy.
Until investigations, I give an antispasmodic tablet containing Dicyclomine and Pre and probiotic capsule to my patients with similar complaints .
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
It's better to get an Ultrasound abdomen to know the status of the Liver,Bile ducts,Pancreas.
If it is normal, I prefer an Upper GI endoscopy to rule out acid peptic disease.
If these investigations are normal, then the pain could be due to musculoskeletal cause. I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4mg twice daily to my patients with similar complaints.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
