Question : what can be done or used to heal necrosis in injection site from betaferon
Brief Answer:
Wet dressing with saline should be done!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this abscess following your injection. Though rare after injections, it is not uncommon. Main treatment consists in wound dressing with saline to help the necked tissue to slough off. For this, I will recommend that you use see the nearest health facility to help with this. Antibiotics are not needed at this time unless you have fever. If you do have fever, please let me know.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

hasn't come to a head but is a painful lump under skin
Brief Answer:
Has it been examined by a doctor?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If it is still under the skin, then we need to examine and see whether it is collected or not. If it is collected, we will need to get it incised and dressing done. If it is not collected, then antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents such as Ibuprofen/diclofenac can be used to hasten healing.
Let me know what you plan on doing. I wish you well.
