Question : My 8 year old child has swallowed an entire bottle of waxolve ear drops. What to do?
Brief Answer:
It is likely to act as a laxative
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
Waxolve ear drop is an oily preparation that is more likely to act as a laxative when taken orally.
It is unlikely to get absorbed or cause side effects except for passage of loose stools. In that case you should give ORS (Oral rehydration solution) to replenish salt and water lost.
Keep observing the child and unless anything untoward happens. It is only in case of unexplained symptoms that you need to rush to the ER at the earliest.
Regards
