Question : Good morning. I have recently been concerned about my blood pressure, and have resolved to reduce my alcohol consumption. I am already on Ramipril 10 mg capsules. This morning was 152/81. Is that cause for concern ?

Brief Answer:
Following advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

The BP levels are slightly elevated and you should be a little worried about that. All the efforts should be made to lower BP below 140/90 mmHg.

If you were my patient I would recommend to :
- reduce salt intake
- reduce alcohol intake to a glass of wine per day
- increase physical activity
- add hydrochlorthiazide to your therapy

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
