Suggest Remedy For Itchy And Painful Rash On Upper Body

default
Posted on Fri, 27 Feb 2015
Question: I have had a horrible itchy and painful rash on the upper half of my body for 6 months. I have been to seek care twice, the first time I was told it was shingles but too late to treat, the second time I was told I have a virus called pityriasis that may last a year. The last week I have felt nauseous and weak, not to mention the itching that is driving me insane. I have diarrhea as well. Do I have some strange blood virus?

thanks for sending the question.

Since you have had this rash for such a long time I would suggest that you see a dermatologist. You might need a biopsy. There are some blood disorders which can present with rash and itching. I would suggest you get a referral for dermatologist for a good consultation.
