Brief Answer:
Lichen planus; Potent topical steroid

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Image. I can see grouped, discrete and confluent, red papules on the dorsum of foot.

I would suggest a possibility of 'Lichen Planus' here. Lichen planus usually presents as red/ violaceous, discrete, shiny, flat topped papules which may coalese to form plaques. The lesions may be distributed widely at various body sites like shins, ankles, foot, arms, abdomen etc. The condition is extremely itchy.
Potent topical steroids like clobetasol propionate 0.05% Or halobetasol dipropionate 0.05% cream is the treatment of choice for lichen planus. An oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg Or levocetrizine 5 mg, once daily is also usually required for symptomatic relief from itching.
I don't think histacalamine would be effective in your case and I suggest substituting it with one of the potent topical steroids i.e clobetasole propionate 0.05% Or halobetasol dipropionate 0.05% cream mentioned above. Though I would go with the tablets that have been prescribed to you.

Brief Answer:
Prednisolone is very effective in controlling lichen planus

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Lichen planus is an immune mediated disease.
Yes, you may take any kind of food. This is not a food allergy.
Lichen planus is different from urticaria. Urticaria is transient whereas lichen planus has persistent papules
Prednisolone would be more effective in lichen planus.
Lichen planus is not communicable. You wife condition could be something else and need to be reviewed separately.
Yes, i do notice improvement in the recent image and it is mainly due to the oral steroid i.e prednisolone, that you have been taking
