Hello, and thanks for your question.

It is very unlikely that this is an emergency. Headaches are common, and lack of sleep especially if you have an exam in the morning is likely related to stress.

You can take medicine to help you sleep, something over the counter like Benadryl or Atarax if you have it. Otherwise, just try your best to sleep. Perhaps try some soothing music and just don't think too much about the exam tomorrow from now on. You must be preparing for it for quite a while ,s o its best to relax for the time being and better to deal with it tomorrow .

It seems like you are under a tremendous amount of stress. You need to talk about this to help yourself feel better. I offer therapy, and I encourage you to contact me at my direct link below.

yes I have been under a lot of stress. my health has suffered. I have been wracked by severe headaches for weeks now. yesterday as well. so when I woke up an hour and half ago the pain wasnt really there but I kept expecting it to be. 3 doctors frpm ur website have suggested the same that I am under streas and need psychiatry. I just need u to be certain if it is not an emergency for me at the moment. my headache is still mild but there mainly on the left side. I am unable to sleep as I keep focusing on the pain and the chance that it might escalate and I might be having an aneurysm or something. so please assure me.it is not the case. my personality is such that unless you rule it out I wont be at ease. I woke at 1.30. it is 3.15 now and ibe just been scared this entire time. I need to be up by 9 o clock

Hi there , Welcome back.

There is no way to rule out anything in medicine 100%.

However, I can say that a headache as you describe, especially a recurrent headache that has been happening for weeks, in the setting of stress is highly, highly unlikely to be anything serious.

This is very likely stress, and the treatment for that is therapy with a highly qualified psychiatrist. I can even provide therapy to help you sleep tonight. I think this is the best way to proceed to help you.
