Question: Hi, my 3 week.old roll of the couch on to the carpet. She cried for a minute longer after being picked up. She seems fine, no visible bruise. She wanted to nurse. Should I take her to hospital?

Brief Answer:
You can nurse her, observe for excessive crying. Do not worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxx,

Thank you for posting your query here.

I appreciate your concern for your little one.

If your daughter is not crying now, and wants to nurse, then please do go ahead and feed her.

There doesn't seem to be anything serious.

You don't need to take her to the hospital right away.

You can wait and watch.

If she develops any of the following symptoms or signs, then you should take her to the hospital to be examined.

1. Excessive crying and inconsolable.
2. Vomiting.
3. Easily irritable.
4. Excessive drowsiness (not easy to rouse).
5. Not accepting feeds.

You can watch for these symptoms and if she develops any of these, then you should take her to the hospital to be looked at.

For now, feed her normally and keep a close watch.

Hope this answers your query, please do feel free to write back to me if you have any doubts.

Wishing you and your child a healthy life ahead.

Best regards
