Posted on Tue, 5 Jan 2016
Question: I have multiple sclerosis, my regular symptoms have flared due to increase in temperatures. I am concerned that I may be experiencing a flare up as over the past few days I have been getting pins & needles in my eyes and I can feel not only my throat go into spasm but what feels like other internal organs. Should I contact my Neurologist ? I have been MS medication free for 10 months, currently taking Lyrica 285mgs BD, Baclofen 20mgs BD and Pristiq 200mgs XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Better to consult a Neurologist, if symptoms persist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and they are not highly suggest of MS relapse. They could be related to anxiety/stress or old MS lesions. So, they should subside on own in a few days.

However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, then, you should consult a Neurologist.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
