Brief Answer:
Take pain medicines; wait and watch for symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.com.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
You have had a blunt trauma to the back of throat or posterior pharyngeal wall. It is basically difficult to visualise the back of throat without proper instrumentation so it is difficult to diagnose without having a good look at it clinically. Anyways, if it is not bleeding and there is no respiratory distress or hoarseness etc, you should not worry right now.
You can take cold or icy drinks, avoid solid meal and rather take soft diet for 1-2 days. You can also take painkiller medicines like iboprofen or aceclofenac orally to reduce pain.
Another important thing is to check for gradual relief of pain and other symptoms. If the pain does not reduce gradually or you develop respiratory distress, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing etc you should not ignore it and visit the ER.
Otherwise, there should not be any major problem according to your history and symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
