Question : I'm not sure how to correctly describe this. I have always been a person with low-ish blood. Either ideal or slightly low. Last night I was awakened by a surge through my body. It was not in response to any dream. My hands were tingling and I felt a rush through my body and a ringing in my ears. I was sweating. Is this possibly blood pressure related? Or is there some other possibility I should look into.

Brief Answer:
Increased blood pressure, or premenopause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

The answer to your question is yes, one possible explanation of what you felt could be a temporary increase of blood pressure.

Another possible explanation, related to your age, could be hormonal changes, probably related to premenopause or menopause ( if you are at this period of your life ).

I suggest you to consult with your primary care Doctor and discuss about above mentioned possibilities as possible causes of your symptoms.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
