Suggest Treatment For GERD And Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Question: Hi Doctor,
In 2013 I visited doctor for gastric problem , post endoscopy with biopsy, he said I have H.pylori infection and said it's suggestive duodenitis, I took medicine for 6 weeks and now I still have GERD and I have the problem of going to washroom after every meal, had frequent indigestion also last 7 months, please suggest.

Take PPI like Nexium for relief from GERD.
Few tests are to be done before planning treatment for irritable bowel syndrome.
A complete blood count, stool analysis, blood glucose test, thyroid function test, test for celiac disease, small bowel biopsy are to be done.
Meanwhile you can take a course of Rifaximin for 2 weeks and also medications like librax for relief. Discuss with your doctor before taking these medications.
