Question : I have sjogrens, RA+, GERD, medullary sponge kidney, hypothyroid, sticky platelets, take daily sm dose aspirin, rabeprazole, risedronate. Some asthma symptoms at times. No allergies. I am currently having issues with bulging discs and an osteophyte complex impinging on thecal sac. I do not see a rheumatologist and for some unknown reason my gp will not refer me to one,......lack of specialists? Use eye drops, punctal duct plugs, and thorough dental hygiene, humidifier, skin lotion. I take a variety of supplements, too long to list. I am trying to lean towards an anti inflammatory diet. What would you recommend? Bloodwork does not need to be monitored?

                                    Brief Answer:
yes, you can take anti inflammatory diet
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you so much for posting your query on HCM.
Well, looking into your query, I will like to ask you that what are the medicines you are presently taking for RA and sjogrens. Are you taking any DMARDS ?
Plus regarding the diet, you can take antiinflammtory diet. It would be good if you can mention the contents of your diet so that we can give the exact guidance as compounds will be known and their properties. If possible please send your autoimmune profile so that I can understand your problem better and help you out.
Take care.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for reverting back.
Well I would like to tell you that Rheumatoid factor positivity can be seen in sjogrens also . If your disease is well controlled with conservative measures its fine to go with them.
I have gone through the diet that you are mentioning and I dont think there is any harm in trying that, all the foods you mention are highly beneficial. I am quite happy with your overall treatment . For gastritis you can take pantaprazole 40 mg once a day for a week or so.
Rest any concerns please let me know.

Dear Madam,
It s a benign condition and there is nothing to worry much about it .Still avoid any spicy , very hot or oily food as it may lead to the progress of the same . Plus its also recommended that you dont chew tobacco and avoid smoking .
These are all conservative measures that need to be taken that are going to halt the progress.
