Allergic rhinitis... Consult a good immunologist...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
All the symptoms described by you are typical features of allergic rhinitis. Do not worry! It is not a serious condition. There is no deadly diseases behind this problem. With appropriate care and medications, this can be get rid off.
The commonest tests to detect the allergens are:
1. Skin prick test - Multiple injections of diluted allergens (the one which induces allergy) are pricked on to the forearm and examined later for any reactions.
2. Allergen specific IgE
3. RAST (Radio immunosorbent assay)
4. Patch test
The best person who can help you with this problem is an Immunologist.
I do completely agree with your doctor that, with surgery only the nasal block can be relieved but not your nasal allergy. Prevention of those things which induces allergy is the best treatment for this condition.
Hope this answers your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
