Question: I have been having chronic sinus problems since nearly 10 years. With every weather change or if I do not wear helmet, dust or carbon emitted by vehicles causes me sneezing. While most of the times, it cures by some allopathic medicines (Sinarest, cetrizince, Enzoflam and antibiotics in case of throat infection), the problem is pretty recurrent. October has been bad. I nearly wake up each day with blocked nose and am sneezing continuously with eyes watering. What homeopathic medicines can i take and to i need to bring in any change in my lifestyle - food, etc.

Brief Answer:
Allergic Rhinitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. It is a known fact that pollution worsens allergies.

2. While you explore homeopathic treatment, start a combination of an anti-histamine, an anti-leukotriene (such as fexofenadine with montelukast), a mucolytic (such as bromhexine or ambroxol), a steroid nasal spray (such as momenta one or fluticasone) and regular steam inhalation. A hypertonic saline nasal wash is recommended.

3. Take this medication for at least two weeks and let me know the progress. If the relief is not satisfactory, get a plain Sinus CT scan done and upload the images here.

4. Allergy tests can also be done. I do recommend N95 rated face masks and air purifiers at home.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
