Question : I have a burn that I got from an electrical stimulator (like a TENS unit). Not sure how it happened but apparently the electrical contact pad got folded and concentrated the current in one small area. The burned area is about 1/2 the size of a XXXXXXX I have been putting hydrogen peroxide on it and keeping it covered with bandaids. It doesn't seem to be improving. It was originally black in color and now since I have been using peroxide, it is milky colored. What is the best treatment for it.

                                    Brief Answer:
Please do not use Hydrogen Peroxide- it kills normal cells too
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question,
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.
The treatment of an electrical burn will need some time depending on the layers that it has affected.
It is not recommended to put Iodine or peroxide in it, because as soon as the cells start healing, the peroxide kills not only the germs, but also the delicate, regenerative cells.
You can use an antibiotic cream- a combination of 3 antibiotics would be good, so it won't allow the wound to get infected.
It will take its time to get healed, but soon it will happen.
Let me know if you have further questions,
Take care.
