Question : i am 63 and have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. i had PID (treated) in my early twenties or late teens and abortions at 19 and 30. could any of these events caused this cancer?

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

I'm sorry for your health issue you have but there are treatment method .

None of the two reasons which you have written above, increase risk of ovarian cancer but on the contrary the more times a woman has become pregnant, the lower her risk is(even if you have done abortions ).

Main causes of ovarian cancer are:
Family history for ovarian or breast cancer
Age (over 65 year)
Hormone replacement therapy
Obesity
