Bacterial vaginosis is treatable. Metronidazole or clindamycin administered orally or vaginally is the treatment of choice.
Use of yogurt vaginally and lacotobacillus is following upon the rationale of Probiotics necessary to restore the vaginal flora. It works for a small number of patients. But Metronidazole is a much more convenient and effective option.
