Question : I have what appears to be a blood blister on my right eyelid, no injury however I have been sick for about two weeks. One of the possibilities of infection is meningitis, is this just a possible side effect of that?

Brief Answer:
These symptoms does not indicate meningitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.

It seems from the history that you are having a blood blister on the eyelid followed by flu.
Meningitis is a serious condition affecting the brain and it presents with high fever, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, altered consciousness....
Blood blister is commonly because of infection of glands of eyelids like hordeolum or because of eruptive skin lesions as seen in viral exanthematous fevers.

Hence no need to be worried as your symptoms does not indicate meningitis.

If possible do send me a photo of the affected eye so that I can advice you more accurately after viewing it.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you

I have had nausea and serve muscle (especially neck) pains for over two weeks. Low grade fever (99.9-101.6) Im starting to feel better now. Previously with no signs of the flu. Also for almost thirty hours my pupilils were different diameters. I think Iam on the back end of whatever this is but I do think it has been a long trip, and I am over it. Thank you for Responding.
