Posted on Mon, 22 Dec 2014
Question: This morning, after waking up, I noticed something funny on my right hip in the shower, turned out to be a boil which popped when I touched it. After my shower, I notice two more, smaller boils proximal to my left wrist. I have no medical conditions, and no allergies. I am a body builder. I have never had boils before. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
this has the appearance of a possible staph infection.this can be caused by exposure to this type of bacteria in the environment.

You could apply some topical antibiotic ointment to these areas and see if this helps. Sometimes however if these areas continue to be a problem or if you areas pop up and it might be necessary for you to obtain antibiotic from your primary care physician.

I would not scrub these areas vigorously. Keep them clean and dry. Try the topical antibiotic to see if it helps.

Thanks again forsending your question. Please see your doctor if this seems to be progressing over the next 24 to 48 hours.
