Suggest Treatment For Boils On The Lips After Sexual Activity

Question: doctor this is a continuation of my question last week. 10 days I went on a date and ended up at girls place :
we ended up lying next to each other I was totally nude and she was wearing bottoms all the while . we kissed and I sucked boobs for the entire stay.
I have no symptoms or anything but I am fearing I am able to pick any std ( oral herpes).
I did not notice any boils on lips or in the top part of the girl. bottom was covered and I hardly touched there.
I am mentally not at peace . should I be worried ??

Brief Answer:
Low risk of hsv type 1 (oro labial herpes)
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr. kakkar (dermatologist).
I have read your question and I understand your concerns.
Lip to lip Kissing (especially deep/ wet kissing) carries a risk of transmission of oro-labial herpes (hsv type 1). The risk of transmission of hsv is more when there is an active episode of herpetic sores and less at other times. Hence apart from a low risk of oro- labial herpes, if your partner was infected, there is really no risk of any STD from kissing or sucking breast. You should not be worried.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Regarding oro-labial herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Yes, oro-labial herpes can be preceded by a prodrome of tingling, itching or burning sensation on lips but then it is soon followed by clinical lesions of herpes. However, just having tingling sensation without any history of sores is not herpes.
Yes, herpes virus once acquired stays for life and although it can recur from time to time, the frequency and severity of episodes decreases with time.

Brief Answer:
Regarding oro-labial herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
No, Oro-labial herpes acquired through kissing is not considered an STD. However, oro- genital sex (performing oral sex Or receiving oral sex) may transmit herpes virus from oral mucosa to genital mucosa and then it is an STD (sexually transmitted disease).
If indeed you have oro-labial herpes, you may risk passing the virus to your wife through kissing and to her genitals, if you perform oral sex on her but these are all hypothetical questions pending confirmation whether you actually have oro-labial herpes?or not?
