Brief Answer:
Many years can be expected

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

I am sorry to know about your friend. However, it appears that she has hormone sensitive disease (that's why the femara), localised to bones and almost 5 years after the primary diagnosis. This subset of patients can survive many years with treatment.

The range varies widely between patients, average being 3-4 years.

I am sure she will do well with treatment.

Hope this helps.
Regards
