Question : I have had bronchitis for the past week. I was prescribed Cipro cough medicine and zithromax pills.
Now I have recal bleeding when I pass stools or pass gas. This has been going on for several days.
Is this a sympton of hemorrides? Any suggestions to stop the bleeding?

Brief Answer:
How much blood is in tour stool? What's the nature of your stools?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Am so sorry to hear about this blood in your stool. This could be caused by hard stools or hemorrhoids. To determine this, i will like to have some more details about you.

1. What is the nature of your stools? hard/soft?
2. Is there any mucus in your stools?
3. How much blood is in your stool?

Help me with these details so that I can provide a more personalized and helpful response to you.

1. The stools have been both soft and medium hard at times. I usually have one stool per day.
2. I don't think there was any mucous in the stool.

3. The amount of blood varies from 1/4 a cup to 1/3 of a cup, but stops after a few minutes. It is bright red blood.

Today, Thurs., I had a stool and no blood for the lst time in 5 days.

Brief Answer:
Probably hemorrhoids!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Probably hemorrhoids. All we need to do at this time is just to monitor. I believe we would be able to achieve spontaneous resolution without the need for further medical intervention. Let me hear how this progresses. I wish you well.
