Suggest Treatment For Brucellosis

Question: I was diagnosed as having an infection of Brusella Bacteria. Two medicines were prescribed, doxycycline mono 100 mg and rifampin 300 mg . Each to be taken twice a day for 6 weeks. My question is, "are these the best medicines for that and is there something that will do the job and not have the side effects."

Related your concern you should know that these antibiotic ate the best choice for treatment of brucella bacteria.

Since that all antibiotics have side effects, and these are the best treatment I suggest not to change them but you should get a check up with amilasemia, creatinin and AST, ALT every week in order to see for the side effects and the infection.

As I said above you should do azotemia, creatinine (renal control) and AST, ALT, (liver control) to see for the side effects from antibiotics and Protein C Reactive in order to see how well your treatment for brucellosis is working.
