What Does Creatinine 3.51,urea 57 And Potassium Level Of 4.6 Indicate?

I am a 78 year old female. My creatinine is 3.51, urea is 57 and potassium level is 4.6. I am undergoing dialysis. What is the prognosis? Will my creatinine level be in this range? I am following a strict renal diet. Will I be able to lead a normal, active life?

Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern. As you are on dialysis, there is nothing to worry about a Serum Creatinine of 3.51. Blood urea of 51 shows that you are on a renal diet and the Potassium is also normal. The prognosis is good if you are continuing to be on regular dialysis.
You can lead a normal and active life as long as you are on dialysis.
Best wishes,
Dr. Noble Zachariah
