Question : ITCHY INJURY
4 years ago I fell on my bike and put a very small puncture in my femoral artery. After being rushed to the hospital it was stitched up.

Now, every time I participate in a hot yoga class or visit a sauna the scar starts to itch, is this normal?

Yes, this is common. Scars can itch. They can itch for a long time (chronic itching). Some persons have scars which do itch all the time. You seem to be quite lucky as your scar only itches in some situations.
Scar itching does not cause any serious problems. So it should not be worried about that. It may be uncomfortable, but does not affect your health in any way.

Why scars itch it remains unknown. There are some theories about that, but not confirmed.
All we know that it should disappear with time. It can take another years.
