Brief Answer:
bacterial vaginosus treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
If you have been diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and have been experienced accompanied vaginitis symptoms as well , then you need to placed on antibiotics for atleast 10 days at a stretch.
The treatment is :-
Cap DOXYCYCLINE 100mg twice a day for 10 days.
TAB TINIDAZOLE 500mg twice a day for 10 days.
tab PANTOPRAZOLE 40 mg once a day for 10 days.
Also very important is that you should avoid intercourse completely during the course of treatment and not resume until your repeat tests are negative else there are high chances of cross infection and your partner can get infected as well . And in that case if only you are cured and your partner harbors the infection then he can easily transmit it back to you in the next intercourse. So it would be wise to get him tested as well .
There are chances that it may be a mixed infection with fungal spores as well , so a high vaginal swab culture should always be undertaken to isolate the causative organisms and then the treatment can be undertaken to cover all the pathogens.

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for the follow up.

if you have undergone all the tests and still have recurrence , then the only likelihood is that you are getting cross infected by your partner everytime. your partner has to be checked and evaluated for any co-infections.
once infected, you would have to undergo the same course of treatment again to treat yourself. Suggested :- try to avoid intercourse after treatment for at least 3 months and watch for recurrence.
