Brief Answer:
need to check for lower respiratory infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Fever , cough and cold usually lasts Upto 5 days and is usually viral. Antibiotics are not needed unless there is any evidence of bacterial infection of ear, throat or lungs. Your doctor would have found some evidence and that is why he has started augmed which is an antibiotic.
You can wait for a day or two to see if symptoms improve, it might.
If no improvement or if cough is getting worser than before recheck with your doctor to rule out wheezing or chest infection. This may need specific medicines like bronchodilators and/or nebulisations.
You can try changing the cough syrup to ambrolitelevo meanwhile if urgent.
Wishing your child speedy recovery.
